Island Park folks owe thousands in sewer O & M fees

ISLAND PARK — As of this week, there are around $100,000 in delinquent Island Park sewer systems operation and maintenance fees, Fremont County Treasurer Pat McCoy said in a phone interview. That’s roughly 6.5 percent of the sewer systems’ annual budget.

McCoy said she expressed concerns about collecting the delinquencies to the county commissioners during their regular meeting Monday.

Dam malfunction could have been 'deadly,

ISLAND PARK — An equipment malfunction at the Island Park Dam this week could have been “a deadly problem” for anglers wading in the Henry’s Fork, but luckily no one was hurt. That’s according to Mike Beus, a Bureau of Reclamation water operations manager in Boise.

4th of July Celebration set for Ashton: Four days of events planned

ASHTON – Everything from dinner theater to the annual parade and picnics are on tap for the 4th of July weekend in Ashton, starting Thursday, July 3, and continuing through Sunday, July 6.

Fremont to Host Free Youth Golf Clini

Sign-up is under way for a free Youth Golf Clinic at Fremont County Golf Course.

The clinic is open to youth ages 7 to 17 years of age interested in learning to play golf.   Sessions will begin Monday, July 14 at 10 a.m. with two additional sessions July 21 and July 28.
