WinterFest Commitee meets at 2 p. m at the Hungry Bear.

• Fremont Growth Solutions will host, "A Celebration of Community Voice - recommendations from forum workshops," at 6 p. m. at the FGS office,  512 Main St. Ashton, ID.  Come hear a review of all the great input GFC gathered at its workshops this year. DINNER WILL BE SERVED! Feel free to bring any side dishes that go with lasagna or desserts. This meeting will serve as a celebration of past community voice and allow you another chance to voice your opinions, recommendations, and suggestions about what should be included in the updated Comprehensive Plan and Development Code. What you tell us at this meeting will serve as a platform for future recommendations. Come and celebrate and let your thoughts be heard!

West Yellowstone Ski Festival. Hundreds of Nordic ski enthusiasts from all over the world, novice to expert, gather to learn more about the sport, practice techniques and see new equipment. Early snows, superb grooming, racing opportunities and the Nordic Skiing Exposition make this an especially inviting time. On-snow clinics November 19-23.

• Island Park Christmas Festival,  11:00 a. m. to 6 p. m.  Eagle Ridge Ranch Barn. Art and craft and food sale of many beautiful and tasty items suitable for Christmas gifts and holiday entertaining. Treat yourself to homemade chili, soup, desserts, rolls, and hot drinks at the Island Park Historical Society booth. Items that will be for sale include jewelry, quilts from the Island Park Quilt Guild, ornaments, candy, Pam Nelson Designer Scarves, gifts made from wood, leather saddles, bridles, and other tack, leather pillows, knitted and crocheted items, metalwork, Island Park banners, and much more.

Torchlight snowmobile parade, chili cook-off, ice sculptures, kids coloring contest, quilt square contest, Casino Night, and other fun western-style winter activities. 29th annual Yellowstone Rendezvous Marathon Ski Race. Held on the world-class Rendezvous Ski Trails, this event draws hundreds of cross-country skiers. With the blast of a black powder canon, racers sprint out to compete in a variety of age classes and distances in both classic and freestyle of 5 to 50K lengths. West Yellowstone Youth Festival. Only for kids and sponsored by the West Yellowstone Ski Education Foundation. The Youth Festival is an opportunity for our future Olympians, World Cup Skiers and National Masters competitors to participate in an event that is just for them. World Snowmobile EXPO 2008 in West Yellowstone. Ten action-packed days! The World Snowmobile EXPO has a NEW look! Free-style open competition with finalists able to compete with X-Game winners. Mountain West Snocross Championships, snow dragsters challenging one another for bragging rights, and beautifully restored and original vintage snowmobiles.  Snowmobile manufacturers and after-market companies will strut their 2009 stuff at the exposition hall.
